A festival by Empathy Studios

Your guide to 2025!
Discover our mission, learn about our resources & events, and find out how to involve your school in this year's festival. This is your ultimate guide to Empathy Week 2025.

Empathy is the one human skill that powers all others
We are educators, qualified teachers and professional filmmakers who believe in starting early to develop the essential skills young people need, both personally and professionally. If we can't understand ourselves or connect with others, we struggle with a range of issues, including belonging, mental health, and self-esteem.

At Empathy Week, our mission is...
to build the #EmpathyGeneration by developing the skill of empathy in 1 billion students
How does our annual festival do this?

Last year, we reached over 330,000 students in 54 countries, and we continue to grow!

-
From the start of the week, registered schools will have access to our film-based assemblies and on-demand talks, which are age-differentiated (ages 5-18) & designed to integrate seamlessly into your timetable.

-
Live in-person & online events will take place at set times across the week, giving students (and teachers!) the chance to engage with speakers and participate in real-time discussions.

-
Teachers will receive a comprehensive support pack prior to the week, to help with effectively delivering assemblies and making use of the resources available.
Participation is free and completely flexible!
Whether you hold a single assembly or use all of our resources, the choice is yours. Just remember, the more you engage, the greater the impact on your students' emotional intelligence, behaviour, and wellbeing!

"It has helped make students more conscientious and respectful. It also offers a way of teaching human skills that are difficult to find resources for, and has made it easier for teachers to teach.”
Teacher, Empathy Week 2024
"Thank you so much for the assemblies. I could never have given the time to this week that it deserved otherwise, and the whole school was involved!”
Kim Williams, Westbury House School
"Do it, without hesitation. Students benefitted tremendously!"
